Need a simple HTPC to stream video files to my Smart TV via Serviio and that's about it, plus some uTorrent downloading and access via a remote desktop viewer.

I bought a WD Live 1TB drive today but it doesn't support half my video files so it's useless. For £50 more I thought I'd look at the HTPC route.

one other thing have a look at the N40L microserver, add a 5450 or similar and it will do all that for about £130 after the cashback and its a nice clean low power system. mine runs at about 30W

The N40L has gone up significantly in the last couple of months. You'll be lucky to find one under £260 now :( I paid £109 for mine after cash back, but that was some time back now.
