Basic-ish 15" laptop for parents

My Dad is after replacing his desktop with a laptop.

Uses are for surfing mainly, doesnt really do much in the way of anything else except load his digi camera pictures on it.

Only a few requirements;

15" (maybe 14") screen
Decent battery life (5hrs+)
320Gb+ HDD
DVDRW

Max budget £400.

Found a Dell 1570 with SU7300 ULV, 4GB RAM, 500Gb for £330 or a Toshiba Satellite i3 380M, 4Gb RAM and 320GB for £330 ish.

Anything else to consider?

you don't really need to spend £400, if you have a quick look on eBay daily deals, you will find many for around £300 which would be excellent for web browsing and word processing
