basic mac help

ok, my friend has become a little worried about her son, they have a G4 mac that he uses quite a lot. every night the internet history is cleared and the bin emptied.

is there any other way to see his internet history or what he has been upto....

i can guess what a 13 year old boy is doing

They need to set him up a seperate account (non administrator) and then set a passoword for parental controls, all the options are available from the accounts screen. Obviously, like most children, he may probably be better at using the computer than his parents so tell them to also password protect the administrator account so that the little bleeder cannot alter his user settings without their permission.

If he is using Safari there is an option for 'private browsing' where history, cookies and downloads etc. are not recorded. I think it is possible to diable that feature.
