Hi
I have a Netbook EEE PC 4G which according to specs came with:-
400.0 MHz / PC2-3200
512.0 MB ( 1 x 512 MB )
DDR2 SDRAM
SO DIMM 200-pin
EDIT: The actual memory says 512mb SOD PC2-3200 CL3

I want to upgrade this to 2 gig and have some laptop RAM from a busted (CPU) Acer Aspire. The info from the RAM chip reads:-
2gb 2Rx8 PC2-5300-555-13-F1.667

EDIT: Does the F1.667 refer to voltage? Only as far as i can tell this netbook needs RAM with 1.8v.

However i have no idea if this means its compatible, so if anyone can advise me on this it would be much appreciated.

thanks

The F1.667 bit means it runs at 667 MHz. It will be fine, the RAM from the old Acer may clock down to the current RAM speed depending on the BIOS/memory controller though.

Normally as has been stated the ram will only run at the lowest set of ram speeds but should still work fine just at an underclocked speed
