Question, what is the minimum GFX to run VR? If I just want to dip my toes into it, like if it's just for movies or a few demos, do I still need a beefy set up?

I have recently bought a 13" MBP, with the spec below, would it run video to a Vive or Oculus ?

2.7GHz quad-core 8th‑generation Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655
16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory
512GB SSD storage

I ran the oculus demo on a socket 771 Xeon E5450, 4GB memory and a GTX780Ti
The oculus software complained that it was below minimum spec but it worked without any issues.

I am not sure if the built in GFX is faster than the GTX780Ti or not…how do i check?

The iGPU you have is not capable of running the Vive or Oculus. You would need to get some sort of GPU. There is a lot of messing around to get it working with a mac as well.

The easiest option for you to dip your toes in would be to get an Oculus Go or the new Santa Cruz when it arrives.

That would be a good shout, can watch Netflix in "massive" screen anywhere.
