Basically I know nothing about motherboards so I am after some advice.
I am planning a new build but this time I will start from scratch. In the past I have always started barebones or at least mobo bundles and then upgraded in the future with the basics remaining the same.
So I basically don't understand the current mobo market. Even the chipset naming confuses me (z68, z77, x79 ect).
I realise that each have certain extra features but I'm really just after a motherboard which will not bottleneck the system that I'm building below. So any advice, or pointing out which board is best would be great.
The specs will be somewhere along:
i5-3570k
16 GB (1600 or 1866 Mhz) Ram
600ish Bronze rated Watt PSU
Graphics: a 7950
128GB SDD
2TB HDD
Some mid tower gaming case with front usb 3.0
So basically what mobo will allow this to reach its potential but also not spend money on features I do not want.
I do not need crossfire or SLI (though if only a few quid more I will have it
).
Would be good to have a usb 3.0 header for the front.
