Basically maxed out?

Hi, is this system maxed out in a realistic way. Appreciate I may be able to improve the cpu but assume it’s minimal gains?

I7 8700k on azus z390a, Be Quiet Dark Rock 4

MSI 4080 super

Corsair Vengeance LPX Black DDR4-RAM 3600 MHz 2x 16 GB​

M2 ssd’s

Play sim racing on quest 3. Assetto Corsa, iracing and ams2

Yes. Without throwing a wedge of cash on a 4090 and a 14700k with ddr 5.

A i9 990k would be an improvment but might cost way to much to be worth it.

For those kind of games, I think you'll find the best upgrade is the 7800X3D.

I wouldn't bother changing CPU on that socket, though you could re-use your DDR4 with a 13600K/14600K or better.

Alternatively, find very cheap used b350 and 5800x3d.
