Basket cued up for new 8700k build but...

It's worth noting that you're also going to be paying a hefty amount extra for the i9-9900K (closer to £500 based on early retailer listings), and its highly debatable whether the new 8c/8t i7 is better than the existing 6c/12t one.

You should also consider a Ryzen setup if you haven't already. It's no longer a no-brainer to go with Intel.
