i used to like the spurs back in the days of robinson and sean elliott, just can't connect to this team and i don't enjoy to watch them tbh....apart from manu who is class.

but they are effective and get the job done so kudos to them ....but i bet the league are hoping someone can stop this spurs dynasty, can't be all that great for the ratings i wouldn't think.

yeh i talked them up earlier in the thread and i was confident they'd win the West then and even moreso now.

i'm losing the faith in us (Boston) ...not just the loss at home ...we just haven't got it together so far reasons of which i could speak for ages, well at least Ray played well the other night but just another flat performance overall.

Spurs just looked tired to be honest. Kobe was playing amazing. It's not that Bowen played bad, just Kobe played better.

Really hope the Celtics win and beat the Lakers. Lakers fans are like Man Utd fans in my eyes. I just want to see Garnett with a ring, no-one plays with more heart that him.
 
KG certainly deserves a ring but I just can't get behind the Celtics :(

Oh well - the finals matchup might be set after tonight :D

man what a game, immense 4th qtr from rondo/perkins/posey and the real leader of the team PP :) (what a series he has had) and obviously a huge win ....21yrs since we're in the Finals.

clearly my heart says Celtics but i genuinely hope Pierce & Garnett get a ring before they are finished, the guys are just pure class on and off the court.

Hmmm well they have Kobe, this yrs MVP finally. I think the Lakers will take it, i dont think the Celtics have enough offense to beat the Lakers. Im glad they beat the Pistons, absolutely loathe that team and always have...even when they were vying with the Bulls back in the 90's

Im happy that both teams i grew up with ie the Lakers and Celtics are back in the finals...loved their rivalry in the 80's when they were fighting for the NBA championship. Im going for a Laker NBA championship...i really dont think the Celtics will be able to stop Kobe, hes awesome.
 
we have home court which no-one has mentioned ;), if we can play as well as against detroit in the last 3 games we have a big show methinks.

kobe can't win it on his own, as LeBron has found out for 2 successive seasons, but he does have some very nice support now.

the thing is we can play some hard-D, ppl talk about the spurs defense but i think it's overated ....apart from bowen and duncan they aren't nearly as good as boston on defense and this is where we can stop the lakers.....rondo/kg/pp/perkins can all play some tough D as can Posey off the bench.

Oh the Spurs, my heart aches.

Boston though, wow! It's been written in the stars since the start of the regular season. At the beginning of the season, everyone was all, C's will be Play-Off Champions, bla bla bla, and it's going to happen isn't it!

I'm just happy for KG, he deserves a ring over any other NBA player in the game today, dude plays with the heart of a lion and not just sometimes, all the time. Every night!
