bass tabs

hihi guys!

im having a bit of trouble finding tabs of indie bands! grrr
most of them being..
The Holloways
The Maccabees
Good Shoes

if anybody has any tabs for these bands, or knows where i can get some from... please let me know/send them =]

this might help:

Find the guitar tab instead.

Look at the root note

play the root note

i mean, that's basically all the bassists in indie bands do anyways, play the root notes over and over again with no creative freedom whatsoever (except the Killers but I dunno if they're indie)

bit harsh but you know!! most indie bass builds the song, with jangly geetar around the edges!

He's got a point though

I'd suggest finding the chords that are used in whatever song you're interested in playing bass to, then work out some bass lines from that, even if it's just playing the root notes.

Obviously you'll need to know some of your notes on the neck to do this, but once you start doing this you can improvise your own, which is always a lot of fun imo.
