Batch file help having trouble with start command

Hi

Could someone give me some help on my obvious ineptitude at using the start command. The line in question is:

start "C:\Program Files\Streamload\MediaMax XL\MediaMax XL.exe" /B

Which produces nothing!?

I've tried 8.3 file paths and that doesn't work either.
