batch photo resizer

Hi there,

I am after a freeware app that resizes a batch of photos as opposed to 1 by 1...

Would be helpful if I could crop prior to resizing them all together however if not just the batch resizing would be great...

Any ideas what I could use?

Microsoft do a free image resizing tool that will do a load in batch.

^ both great options. If using XP go with the image resizer powertoy, if using Vista/W7 try irfanview.

Irfanview does a great job of resizing pictures without losing clarity. If I do a similar operation in GIMP the results can sometimes be a little distorted.
