I've got a system here that spews out merged documents, what I want is for them all to come out of the printer on a scheduled basis.

Ideally I'm looking for a tool that installs a virtual printer which can store the jobs and send them to the actual printer on a schedule.

I've seen plenty tools that can monitor folders for files, but I'd have to use a PDF printer to send the documents to a folder first, which seems clumsy.

Our printers (Canon copiers) have a mailbox function but I cant think of a way to automate/script printing of all documents in a mailbox..

Any ideas?

Just run it from a .bat, and schedule it.

"Print <filename> /D:LPT5"

If you don't have an LPT port or directly attached printer, then configure one:

"net use LPT5 \\servername\printer /yes"
