Batch Renaming Help

I need help (so says my wife ) renaming a load of files from
Picture 001.jpg to 001.jpg Picture 002 to 002.jpg etc

Can anyone help?

I'm assuming that a command line batch file would do it but I am not that way inclined!!

**EDIT** I should say that they are not in strict order ie 1,2,3,4 more like 21,25,29,30,54 etc

XP is surprisingly useless for this. You'll need a utility to do it - I had to do this once and I think that I used this:

There is a powerful Macro script writing program you would be able to do this very easily.

acdsee is good for quick batch renames, also therename is pretty good freeware, a bit weird at first, but pretty powerful. http://www.georgedillon.com/web/freeware/therename.shtml

Not sure what you are getting that...i'm trying to see if I put anything rude or suggestive in it?

If not, it renamed them all in 2 mins ( the trial only does 30 at a time and I had 250 of them to do - from the school prom we did)
