Batch resizing in CS2

Is there any way of batch resizing images in photoshop to a maximum dimension (such as max width/height of 600pix) instead of just a maximum height of 600 meaning the width could be a lot bigger if the image was longer? All the images are different dimensions and ratios so can't just seperate landscape and portrait.

Thanks, I thought that may be the case. There are 2-300 which is why I really wanted a batch process. I suppose it shouldn't take toooo long to seperate them out.
