I have several hundred photos (without negatives) which I wish to scan to have a digital copy. Can anyone recommend any hardware/software to do this? I have an HP Officejet 6310 all in one with a document feeder, but the resultant scans appear scratched. This seems to be introduced by the feeder, as they scan fine on the glass. It needs to have an automated feeder due to the large number of photos.
Alternatively is there a cost effective service provided by a company that does this? I am not after anything fancy, just a good digital copy of my prints.
