Bathroom extractor ducting

I've put in an in-line extractor for my en suite. From the bathroom to the extractor there is about 1m of flexible hose. The 'exhaust' side then attaches to a hose which goes to the soffit and I suspect this hose is damaged, or just too long (it's around 4m). Effectively the suction isn't that great with the exhaust side attached. My mate is coming round with some ladders to check the soffit and make sure it isn't blocked.

I have some 100mm solid ducting - https://www.screwfix.com/p/manrose-100mm-round-ducting-1m/544gy

Plan is to replace most of the exhaust side with solid ducting for better airflow, however it's going to be laid across the top of insulation. Is there going to be any condensation issues?

Not the best pics but you get the idea (this was in the middle of fitting so not taped on/sealed correctly).

Yea quite possibly.

You could install a condensation trap just above the ceiling with a small 22mm waste pipe that runs outside through the soffit. That will stop any water running back towards the room.

Or you could lag the new rigid pipe with insulation to reduce the amount of warm air condensating against the cold duct.
