In the bathroom we have a pully switch bathroom light. Anyone know of a way to make it so that after x time, the light won't switch work?

The idea being that at midnight, I want it impossible for anyone to use the main bright bathroom light and waking others up.

We have small motion activity LED lights on the bathrooms for the kids that are perfect for this. No need to put the main light on.

I've done this with our ensuite, it has two smart gu10 bulbs. I've got an automation set up that if motion is detected between 23:30 and 06:30 then it turns one bulb on to 1% brightness.

I've got a hue bulb fitted (I know, you're not supposed to use them in an enclosed fitting) and I've set it so that if it's turned on after 9pm it will operate at 40% brightness.

How accessable are the electrics, and how comfortable are you in working on them? A timer using the constant and switched lives from the light switch would be easy enough to set up

This is what I also do. I have a rechargable 50 led horizontal bar type of light that 'clings' to the top of the door frame via an earth magnet. It comes on for 15 seconds and is very bright. Our main clicky pullcord switch is loud as hell and I hate using that at night. Sadly, it looks like it has typically been replaced as my amazon link points to a different looking item now.
