Hi, got a quick question, I am upgrading my bathroom and want 4 down lights. The existing light was in the middle of the room and was basically connected to the main house light circuit.

This has its own rcd on the consumer unit.

When the lights get changed, can the bathroom lights stay on the same circuit or do they need their own rcd at the cu which is separate to the bathroom lights?

Also can the extractor fan which will be loft mounted need its own rcd or can this go onto the light circuit and thus that rcd?

Can just use the existing lighting circuit on the existing RCD, fan and lights will have to be on same circuit and therefore RCD if you want the fan to work when lights come on etc

Done exactly this. Lights come on, fan comes on. The lights are on a dimmer so if you're running the lights low, the extractor fan runs slower / quieter as well which is unintentional but works well at night. :D
