It's almost that time again, race week rolls round quickly here.

The kangaroos are being fenced out, the tracks being painted and grass grown, had some decent rain this past week so its nice and green. All is good in B-town.

I'd like to see the FPV team and Winterbottom win but can't see it happening.

I think it's the last race before the track is resurfaced, I know last time I was up there quite a bit of work had been done. Barrier upgrades but I didn't see any high fencing yet....

Weather at the moment, stupidly hot for mid spring, just reaching 30c today and windy as hell.

Going to be a little cooler at the weekend, mid 20s with the chance of rain on Sunday...

On the TV you never have an appreciation for how steep the track really is, no track I've been to in the UK can even possibly compare.

Then throw in the fairly narrow track up and down the mountain and the zero run-off just a concrete wall in many places.

Can hear the cars all over town from a few miles away today when they were fired up and racing/practising.

I was there this morning, saw the Porsche, Classic, Ute races and the V8 final practice. Massive temperature change, defrosted the car at 5:30 when I headed up there and it reached 27c mid afternoon.

Red bulls looked really quick in practice and so it proved.

Quite a few people having beer for breakfast....

Not sure if they had the fighter jet fly over this year, last year it blew the windows out on just about every house in town it was that low & loud.

They had some Navy guys flying Red Arrows style yesterday and this morning with smoke and doing stunts in prop driven planes.

It's been pretty warm for this time of year, but very windy conditions.
