Just bought Batman AC in the Origin sale, installed fine, and then when asked to put serial in I paste the code in and get a "The serial number was not found in the database. Most likely the serial number has been entered incorrectly." message. I checked the code in origin, read up on some launch issue with it not having dashes in (they're included now so that was obviously fixed), but even the email confirms the same serial. Anyone else have this issue or do I need to raise a support ticket and wait a few days to play it?

I even typed it manually. I'm just going to have to send off a ticket. Seems like no one else has the same issue so no easy solution. Y u no live chat in UK EA!

EA does have live chat in the UK. I have used it a few times, even used it last week for a new Bring Down the Sky CDKEY.

It's very hit and miss though.
Some people are fine and do exactly as required, the last tool I had told me to go to the forum, get help from my fellow gamers, "How on Earth are they going to manually enter my code?" I said.

He said "Bye have a good day" *****.

I have the same problem activating Arkham City as well fired off an email to Warner Brothers Support hopefully I'll get a reply soon.

I wouldn't bother with the live chat, 90% of the time you get someone with absolutely no knowledge of existing issues, hell the last time the origin servers were down, I asked on live support how long roughly it would take and was told first to uninstall origin, then told to wait 24-48 hours :p

Back on topic there has probably been a mix up with the keys handed to EA, iirc similar things have happened with steam over the years where keys are issued to them yet not active in the publishers database.

I've used it before too, but for some reason the option doesn't do anything when I click on it. Changed region to UK and it disappeared altogether

If the game shows up in your Origin, then it's not an Origin issue. Origin is basically like steam. Once the game is downloaded- any issues with codes/tech etc are dev. related.

Origin are only giving out 20 character cd keys it should be 25......... email WB Games support with your proof of purchase & Origin ID they will then email you a valid cd key.
