Bought this in the Steam sale and have just started playing last night.

After about 2 hours in I'm getting pretty pee'd off with all the cut scenes every 5 minutes.

Question is do they stop?

Nope, also they are there to tell the story. Every 5 mins is a bit over the top, they do not appear every 5 mins.

Story is all well and good but I bought it to play not to watch. So I can expect a non flowing playing experience thats constantly being interrupted with cack cut scenes?

Guess I should have done my homework before buying it.

I thought the story was excellent. When you're finished you can replay just the challenges etc. with no cut scenes if that's all you want.

They definitely add depth, colour, humour, layers of exposition etc. to the game though, not sure why you wouldn't want that

Yeah this thread makes no sense at all. Troll bait :)

If you have nothing constructive to add just don't post please or grow some pubes and post something useful

What contemporary action adventure game doesn't have cutscenes? what did you expect this game?

I have no problem with cutscenes and I'm loving the gameplay in itself. Its just the frequency of them.

I guess I'll give it another couple of hours tonight and see how it goes.

No different to any other game, I do have pubes though so don't need to grow anymore. Thanks for thinking about my private parts though you man perv ;)

They do get a little more spread out as the game goes on. There's a lot more in the first half (for example) introducing story points etc and there's one before each 'boss' fight.
If you do all the side bits more (Riddler trophies etc) rather than plow through the main quest it spreads them out even more...

I think they were set at perfect points. Sometimes you're just itching to move on, but not once did I even think about skipping a cutscene.

Perhaps the OP isn't a batman fan?

I'm playing this at the moment too. The cutscenes become less frequent. There are quite a few in the first couple of hours introducing story elements. I personally didn't find them annoying though. Well, other than the pre rendered ones that look worse than the gameplay but eh. Quite common in PC ports these days.

People talk a lot about how annoying cutscenes are but I personally enjoy the story as part of the game (and I think games have a lot of potential as a story-telling medium). Devs really should let you skip them if you aren't interested, I guess.

Exactly!

This game and arkham city is more so about the story line, this is one of the main things that makes Batman: AA and AC great! :D

There really weren't that many cutscenes.

Really enjoyed the whole game, thought it had rather good pacing.

Every game has to have these little stops to progress the story. Hell I am playing Dead Space 1 again right now and that stops a lot to talk and progress the story. I think the OP needs to play online games only where they need no story progression. I just don't get this thread lol, strange one indeed.

Also, you seem to have no patience.

I don't really like games that are constant ACTION ACTION ACTION, it becomes tiresome

Well I've just had another hour and its got a lot better so I'm sure things will be plain sailing from now on.

I guess it was just the beginning bit and I being of little patience just wanted to kick some ass.
