Batman Arkham Asylum - Stuck

Just started playing this now but im stuck, im in the decontamination part of the asylum were the room is filled with joker gas.

Im trying to get another ridder trophy but dont know how to disable the control unit to deactivate the electric shield gaurding the door?

Any idears how to disable it?

Do you have all of the gadgets yet?

Some of the riddler trophies and other stuff will be inaccessible until you have unlocked all of the gadgets so that maybe why you can't get it yet.
 
Quite a lot of the Riddler Trophies are inaccessible until later on in the story where you get a few more gadgets, I wouldn't worry about it.
 
Once you get the Ultraclaw, much, much later in the story you can get reach everything as you've got all the upgrades. Until then the vast majority are off limits.
 
i hate that 'go back for it later' stuff on this game i didn't bother with them, but i liked the gameplay in general :)

*shrug* the game sends you around places multiple times so you can pick up most of them if you take detours now and again. Once you've got the Riddler maps for each area which you tend to come across as you play through it only takes about 5 minutes per area, 10 at the most, to sweep through and pick everything up you missed.
Doesn't really matter unless you're going for 100% completion or you really want to know the 'Spirit of Arkham' story. Only 'real' benefit is unlocking more challenges.
