Batman: Arkham Asylum

Downloaded at 1.1 m/b's from Fileshack :D

Very polished looking game and gr8 fun in a stealthy kinda way. Max settings ran smooth as butter on my rig in sig ;)
 
just had a little go....this seems pretty good and also reminds me of the wolverine game.
used the wireless 360 controller and its already all configured..abt time they started to do that.
 
Just cannot seem to get the demo to recognise my 360 wired pad at all. :mad:

edit: nvm, seems it doesn't like multiple controllers plugged in. had to shut down and unplug my 2nd pad (PS2+USB) and wireless USB flight sitck. :rolleyes:

Very good, plays well on both wireless 360 controller and keyboard (batteries died) :( :p
Combat is fun and graphics are very nice :) Not liking that i can't have (nVidia :s ) MSAA because I have an Ati card, though :rolleyes: :(
 
From what I've played, I don't think the developers even need to worry about 'forcing' high review scores. The game will be critically well received on its own merits.
 
Yep, having now played through the demo, as short as it was, this is going on my list to be bought. Looks and plays fantastic on my 40" LCD at 1080p with the 360 pad.

Just hope the game is a decent length and that they can keep it fresh through out. Don't want it to be too short but again not so long it outstays it's welcome and becomes boring. But seeing how little the demo gives you compared to what seems to be available in the full game I have high hopes.

Just a shame it's been pushed back, I know they are adding stuff but judging by the demo it's good enough to be released as is. But then it'll probably be half the price and twice as good as the conslol versions. :p
 
This is a 100% purchase from me, its fricking amazing i think it might be game of the year (so far) its great. I played at max settings on a res of 1920x1200 and it played smooth as silk and the graphics is top notch. Judging by the demo i think they really have captured the batman world perfectly.

Edit: didnt realise steam are gonna sale it, just a heads up.
 
Wow, that was well worth the download,

Played really well with the 360 controller and ran excellent (W7 64)

Its a nice change to be able to crank a new title up to High and not have to worrry about editing CFG files for compatability and stability.
 
The only thing bothered me is when you walk your right over to the left of the screen seems a little weird to me , hopefully this makes some sort of sense lol .
 
No AA for ATi is gayers, especially since there seems to be plenty of performance headroom left on my 4890. Tried forcing it CCC but no luck.

As for the game itself, pretty much like a batman version of splinter cell, which pretty cool, lol. Looking forward to the full game!
