*Batman: Arkham Asylum*

Is this definitely definitely out on pc on the 18th ? if so i'll wait for that version methinks.

Yup, definitely meant to be out on the 18th. All the press releases I've seen are still confirming it.
 
Went and picked this up this morning, very cool game, i was worried at first that you could dispatch enemies with no more than button mashing but later on they get pretty tough so it pays to get those combo's going. I was also worried that the game would be pretty short but there are some nice puzzles to keep the replay value high for me.:)

My PS3 copy arrived. Gonna try it out in a bit, then see if it unlocks the Batcave in Playstation Home.

Mines been shipped so should have it by tommorrow...one of my most anticipated games after playing the demo...
 
Got the Batman Cave. You can place furniture in it like a normal apartment and invite people (not tried yet as no-one online).

The Joker map challenge stuff is not yet on the EU/UK store yet. These are free for 30 days, I assume it will be chargeable DLC on PS3 & 360 after that date.

Game so far is good, The demo was only bits of the 1st level, the whole 1st level is a bit bigger and you get a boss to fight.

Yeah the GB Quick Look showed that the demo only had bits of the first level...

Will be playing it tonight (erm Fat Princess might have to wait :p)

Really enjoying it so far. There's a bit relatively early on in the hospital that I don't want to spoil too much so it's difficult to describe although as a hint for those who have been through it: where your perspective changes to side scrolling. It propelled my view of the game from good to brilliant. Some great psychological horror to it at times.

I was worried the game would get too samey but no sign of that just yet as the story's tightly controlled by the cutscenes.

I also loved this bit and the bit directly before that, infact that whole scene with "that thing" was amazing

Had to think about that for a sec but I know what you are on about, game of the year in the making me thinks.
 
I can't believe the fan service that has gone into this game, so many references to characters that I haven't heard mentioned for years, I haven't played for long and already met or heard about at least 20 comic book characters
 
After checking this thread and checking some reviews i've just cancelled my collectors edition pre-order :(. After hearing that the batarang is somewhat underwhelming i just can't justify the £60 price tag. Will still definitely purchase a copy of the game however as the demo and reviews have sold me on it.
