Hi

I have had the entire Batman series for a while now so was going to make a start with Arkham Asylum on the PC/Steam.

I was wondering if you pros at the game, is it best to use KeyB+Mouse or a 360 Controller. What is better for Combatr?

Cheers

Xbox controller - it's what the game was really designed for. It uses all of the buttons (including the shoulder buttons) so trying to replicate that on a keyboard and mouse doesn't work as well.

Keyboard myself.. Theres only a few buttons anyway! it's nice to be able to scroll through the gadgets with the mouse wheel.

I don't like gaming with a pad anymore :(

I preferred the Keyboard and mouse for these. I've only played the first two games, but I assume the others play similar.

I always feel restrained on a controller compared to mouselook.

combat involves button mashing and pressing E (or is it R) to counter. Very simple stuff. Maybe there was more to it than that, but I definitely remember it being simple.

Keyboard and mouse, as it feels much more natural to me. I only used an Xbox 360 controller for some of the Scarecrow sections in AA. Might use it for the batmobile once AK is fixed.

I used Keyboard + mouse for all 4 Batman games and never had a single issue or felt at a disadvantage. Infact It is probably easier in terms of the freeflow stuff to just double tap 1 2 3 4 and 5 for the different freeflow gadgets (Saying that I have no idea how the gadgets work on the controller)

Yea I agree with this, but its all a matter of preference, having been a pc gamer for 15 years, I just find it the best, keyboard and mouse in most situations

I played through all of them using an Xbox controller. I found that achieving multiple combos during fights was especially hard using a kb/m set up.
