I know they are protected so what do I have to do to get rid of them out of my loft. They arent inside the house yet just the top corner of the outside at the moment.

Any websites/companies that remove them free of charge?

Surely because they "see" via radar, there must be some kind of white noise that can make them want to leave the vacinity?

If I recall, I dont think you can do anything.

From RSPCA said:
If you are frequently finding bats in your house, especially baby bats, then it may indicate that you have bats roosting in your roof.

If you have been moving items around in the loft space, and then notice that bats keep coming into the house then it might be that you have inadvertently blocked the hole that they use to exit the roof. This means that the bats are finding their way into the house as they have been forced to look for an alternative exit point. You should go back to the loft and move away anything that is potentially blocking an exit (for example anything that is against outside walls), and then contact your local Statutory Nature Conservation Organisation for a roost visit - either Natural England, Countryside Council for Wales or Scottish Natural Heritage depending on your location.

there is also bits on the RSPCA site about finding bats on building sites.. they are protected enough to force builders to stop working immediately.

All bats are protected. All building work should stop immediately and you or the builders should contact the relevant organisation e.g. Natural England, Countryside Council for Wales or Scottish Natural Heritage depending on where you are located, to send a licensed bat worker. If the you are not immediately involved with the work, and wish to report the disturbance as a crime, you should use our 24 hour emergency number 0870 5555 999 to report the incident. You could also contact your local Police Wildlife Liaison Officer (PWLO).

All work should be halted until an RSPCA inspector and/or police officer and/or bat worker arrives. The RSPCA will liaise with the police or local bat group and the Bat Conservation Trust as necessary.

hope that helps

Blatantly gonna have to dig a cave under the eastern foundations of your house and make a batdon suit to fight crime and poor posters everwhere in the crumbling mess of corruption and evil that is ocukforums.

Call the rspca, they'll be able to advise you. If not... sonic bird deterrant or electromagnets should work. As well as fitting your own radar system to mess with theirs.

What the hell is going on in this country? I see and hear all these snitching advertisements, about reporting drug dealers, even terrorists (hello police! my neighbour has a tan! get him quick!:D), and now bat abusers?!

To your problem, if throwing beer cans doesn't work, find a radar, it worked well with Snake anyway

Legally you cannot touch them or interfere with them in any way whatsoever. I dont think the RSPCA can help you either once a colony has been established.

Ive had the same problem in my house, have an entire colony living in the attic covering my stuff in ****. I get scared just going up there because I can see them looking at me from the rafters like they want to suck my blood!

We built some special roosts for them in the trees of our garden which most of them migrated too surprisingly, but there are still some in the attic.

might be worth trying one of those ultrasonic boxes to persuade them to move out? I'm trying one of these to try and get rid of mice from my garage at the moment. Don't know if it will work but hey...

Rule number one if you have bats and you want rid of them don’t tell anyone you have bats.

Wait for them to fly off at dusk then block up the hole but stick up some bat boxes in trees around you a week or two before. ;)

Tell me about it. Its not too bad anymore, but I occasionally go up there and vacuum it all up. Theres a few dead bats that are still hanging from the rafters which I need to take down too....Im sure Im allowed to move them now!
