Hello all,

With the new'ish li-Ion batteries and the first charge, are they actually taking the mick that you should leave it going for more hours than normally required?

Ie, i have got a battery that normally takes 3 hours to charge, but the manual says you should charge for 8 hours on the first go.

Now being ega to play with the new toy, do you think the device would mind if it is on for that first 8 hours?

:D

the overcharge first suggested by the manufacturer is just to make sure that the ions are fully switched to the oposing side so that when you use it after this it will always charge to the same max value and although it only should take 3 hours to fully charge it can sometimes take longer to get the last bits to complete. So for a longer lasting fully charged battery do what it says on the tin, otherwise it should be ok and not see too much of a problem, just not going to be as good as it could have been.
