Read about these the other day but only just got round to doing the updates... After the loud tone scared the life out of my sister the update applied fine... And now?

My temps have dropped about 20ºC!

I'm a very, very happy chappy!

Yea, it was the recent ish 1.3 Battery update.

Was also an EFI Firmware update in there too.

A list of machines it applies to;

* MacBook Pro (15-inch)
* MacBook Pro (15-inch Glossy)
* MacBook Pro (15-inch Core 2 Duo)
* MacBook Pro (15-inch 2.4/2.2GHz)

Grrrrrrrrr.

Apple must have a 200Gb 7200RPM in the pipeline! They MUST do!

Otherwise I might have to get it installed myself :roll

Plan is:

Mac HD 1 = 200Gb 7200
Mac HD 2 = 200Gb 7200 External via eSATA
Mac HD 3 = 400Gb 7200 External via eSATA as backup for 1+2

500Gb NAS for 3rd layer backup.

So I gotta have that 200gb otherwise I wont have enough space + the new 200Gb 7200 is the quickest HD on zee planet for 2.5inch 9.5mm atm.

Mine didn't make any loud tone when I applied the 1.3 Battery update, is that normal? :(

The loud tone is the EFI update. I seem to remember applying an EFI update not so long ago, so maybe it's an old one.. but I have so many macs I can't remember which one I updated recently :)

The battery update was nice, haven't had an EFI update.. but I knew about the sound!

I'll be expecting it should it come out for the 17"er

Liking the new sig EVH ^

Cheers.. my one was sooo old I'd lost the .PSD, so I started again.

Originally I was going to have about 200 or so with rotating Family Guy one-liners but I never got around to doing it :(

Suprised anyone noticed!
