Can anyone recommend me a good battery charger?
Had a 'Bike IT Halfords' jobby and the damn things broke on me after using just twice!!
Had to use a spare 'general car type' charger my dad lent me a while back, which has done the job but I would rather have a specific bike one.
Problem I have is I only do short mileage throughout the week and with it being a Honda the lights are always on so if left un-ridden for a few days...
Also is this normal? for the battery to lose charge so much, I do about 13miles round trip for work, bike is a cdr125r5.

Oxford Maximiser 360T

I have one, comes with crocodile clips for direct connection to battery, plus a lead that you can wire up and have neatly tucked away somwhere around the rear part of frame so you dont have to take the seat off to get to your battery each time.

They are great, job done :)

To go on further, the battery should be strong enough to have multiple short trips no problem what so ever. Maybe its time for a new battery, how long has it been in? If all else fails, bumping a 125 is super easy, 2nd gear, clutch in... a few pushes forward jump on and dump clutch with a bit of gas!

Battery is the original which came with the bike, bikes pushing on 14,700miles now. I work 5 days a week and always take the bike. Not been on any large treks recently as I need to replace chain/sprocket - which I'm doing next dry day off.
I'll have a look at that charger when I get back from work - cheers!

I ended up with an Oxford Oximiser 601, came with a lead you attach to the bike, then you just slot the lead in. Better solution than some cheaper models that only come with crocodile clips.

I have an Oximiser as well as the CTEK and it does the job, but they are not true intelligent chargers like the Optimate/CTEK etc.
