Since I got my GSXR 600 I havent really used my car. It had a 2 week break parked up in Gatwick carpark, it started first time then. Since then it hasn't been moved for another 2 weeks, and the battery is flat.

Is this unusual or should I be looking at a new battery.

I'd be quite happy if my battery lasted for a month. My MR2 used to go flat after 2 weeks (due to the Clifford Alarm apparently)

I haven't tested out how long the Elise battery will last yet but if it turns out that it's a month I'll be quite pleased.

The battery on my Civic lasted well over 4 months without the car being started. I'd expect a battery to last longer than a month.

yeah, my alarm drains the celica battery, then as the battery dies it sets the flipping alarm off !

I just bought one of these;

As well as crocodile clips it comes with a connector that you can leave in place on the car / bike and a wall mounting bracket so it's just a case of plugging it in and turning it on whenever you need to. It'll recondition your battery if possible and if you leave your bike garaged over the winter you can just leave it on all the time.

I looked at the Optimiser but they're only good for bikes and I needed something that would do the car as well and this one seems to fit the bill.
