The battery health capacity of 35,351 from design capacity of 51,300 mWh seems to be very poor. I’ve had one my gaming laptops for nine months and it’s lost over 30% of the original charge.

I have calibrated the battery in MSI center and limited charging to 80%.

Is this unusual and is the battery faulty? MSI Center says the battery is healthy.

Laptop is an MSI Thin gaming laptop plugged in all the time.

Thanks for the help earlier on with my other laptop too guys!

Have you removed the 80% charging limit for a few 100% cycles before testing the health. Plus run the powercfg /batteryreport on 100% charge.

Otherwise that's a definite fault with battery even if heavily cycled or run on mains in 8 months.

No I haven’t, I did read online last night to charge it to 100% and then try so I will do that and report back. Thanks!

Gaming laptops are notoriously hard on batteries. Personally I avoid anything over 50~ watts in a laptop with a <100wh battery.

As above remove the limit, shut down and let it fully charge.
