If I replace the battery on my mobo, will it lose all my overclocked settings?

I have them saved in the bios, but replaceing the battery will lose this info?

Thanks

Replacing the battery will reset the BIOS back to the default settings.

However if you have saved your settings to a profile in the BIOS I think you will be able to re-load them from there. I'm not sure if they get wiped or not.

As far as i'm aware it depends on your board but the Asus board you have listed in your sig has their 'ez oc' utility thing which will store your OC profiles.

surely it's easy enough just to be 100% sure and write all your custom settings down on a bit of paper first though?

I did as you say above.

I replaced my battery and hopefully it will besorted now.

The problem I was having, was sometimes my pc would start up and tell me that my bios is misconfigured, I'd log in sort the bios out and apply the overclock (its stable), log in to windows, see my time and date is all screwed, updatethe time, reboot and all is fine.

Is this a battery issue? Or is it just complaining becuase it thinks my clocks are wrong becuase they are not stock, and is trying to save me potential damage?
