Hi everyone,

am after a bit of advice. I bought a 2nd hand laptop from the members market, no issues with the seller or what I was told.

It was mentioned the battery may be an issue and needs replacing, I checked it upon arrival and it was charging and lasting 3-4 hours so I was happy with that and put it up for my daughters Christmas present.

So it was opened yesterday and set up but the battery now won't charge above 21% and if you unplug it when it's on the laptop shuts off immediately. As if it can only draw power from the plug.

I accept I was told that the battery could be an issue but is this the battery as it did initially seem OK(ish) until it was packed away for 2 months. I just want to make sure before I buy a new one,

cheers all :)

When they start going batteries can die completely very fast.
It might have been at point where it starts losing its charge fast and Li-ions basically break down, if they are left sit empty for longer time.

Thanks everyone, have ordered one. Just wasn't sure if the fact it worked but in bad condition before storage to being completely broken in 2 months of non use pointed towards something else :)
