Friend attempted to play arma 2 for the first time in ages today to find he's been globally banned. I understand that the battle ye anti cheat system is 100% accurate however, he assures me he's never cheated. Sadly it's also banned him from arma 3 which has upset him more so. He has submitted an email to battle eye but has had no response.

I was just wondering if anyone else had fallen foul of this anti cheat system. I feel he's probably been hacked but he's run an anti virus check and it's revealed nothing...
 
You hear this all the time, best one we get on 7 days to die atm is "it's my brothers account" You only get flagged if you cheated or glitched. Tell him to stop downloading youtube cheats.

No one ever believes that no one cheated in this game, its quite funny, yes some do, but some dont.

I reinstalled it a few months back, banned. Sent a support request to BE, nothing, so emailed Bohemia and got asked a load of questions, ip address, cd keys etc was given a free copy of arma2.

Bought arma 3 a few weeks later in the sale as well, so your friend should be able to pick that up too.

Did your friend play Dayz at all, as I tried it but didnt really like it, and uninstalled after that, so maybe had something to do with that mod.
 
Ewanb75 you cheating little git, at least you are another of the unwashed who can no longer play. These random bans for no reason are utter rubbish, if this was true out of every single game we all play we would all be banned on at least one game in our life. Guess what m8 35 years old over 700 games and not one single game ban. Tells you something aye
 
maybe he modified the game somehow or used restricted scripts , i heard that in newer cods if you unlock game from 60 fps to 120 fps you get vac banned for that .

edit: to get unbanned is to contact [email protected]. they will give you a new key if you can prove it wasn't your fault and show that it wasn't some utorrent and that your bought the game.

edit2: if you search around it seems loads of people get banned from battle eye for no reason...

No he really has not cheated, very close friend hes 32 years old, really doesn't fit the profile.

I understand that these days some hackers are quite sneaky... hacking your PC, replacing your cd key with a banned one, then selling your cd key. Very clever tactics as you would just assume your CD key is banned...

I think hes probably been hacked in some way, last game he played on arma was a "life" game, island life I think... I have heard rumours that some of the downloads may be unscrupulous?

Well that's like saying you've never been a victim of murder in your 35 years. Of course you can be false banned. All sorts of program's running in the background can be considered hacks by the game. As above poster said, I think there was bans going around for FOV fixes and fps unlocks in COD. Surely a warning first, then ban should be the best way to deal with the problem.
 
Think it's cd key banned, which battle eye checks and wont let you join online, so your stuck with singleplayer.

Love to see how you actually know these people were banned for no reason. Oh because they said they were? Also people adjust FOV and remove FPS games in MP games they all deserve to be banned, silly people.
 
99.9 percent of legit bans are just that legit.

very rarely do bans get over turned. some maybe legit but as said 99.9 percent are guilty and tell you whatever you want to hear.

oh you know me id never hack i gamed with you for years !

my bro played on my pc must have downloaded something.

i got key logged

got a virus

best one ever heard is i installed vista recently :confused: trying to get out of why he was caught using aimbot :D
