Battle Field Bad Company 2 Connection Issues

Hey everyone,

I have been really enjoying the single player on BFBC2, but now that I am trying to go onto multiplayer it's not working.

I have created a soldier, but when I try to find a match to join there are none. When I click the server tab on the right of the menu it lists that there are no servers.

Could anyone please help me? :)
 
if youre using AVG anti virus, try adding the bc2 directory in program files and my documents to the resident shield. fixed some connection issues for me although i still get the odd "failed to connect to ea online" message.
 
You may need to update your game to the latest version. I seem to remember that it isn't automatic and requires you to run the updater program from within the game folder?
 
If not AVG its Eset Smart Security. It sees all the server pings coming in as a DDoS attack on you and blocks them all. Dive into firewall options and disable IMCP protocol attack detection.

The game checks for an update if you run it via bfbc2updater.exe, which is the way you should always run the game because of that.

These are the ports I opened and they seem to have worked, I still get the odd "disconnected from EA" every now and again (even had this message when I pressed logout before :confused:).
