battlefield 1942 - desert combat mod

BF2 was ,iirc, created by the same guys who created the DC mod, therefore, DC is now BF2.

Requirements wise, Desert Combat runs well on a p3 933 with a ti4600 & 512MB RAM. ;)

Dice NY (formerly known as Trauma Studios) did have some part in the development of BF2 but it wasn't as major as I'd hoped it to be. I believe all they did was test some of the prototypes used like fastroping (didn't make it in). Shortly after BF2's release Dice NY was dissolved I think.

BF2 would have had a much more arcade-y feel if it was developed by the guys who brought us DC, whether or not that's a good thing is up to the players but I loved DC far more than BF2. Some of the stuff you could pull off was a whole lot more insane and I loved that.

The DC team is now known as 'Kaos Studios' and they're creating a new FPS built on the Unreal 3 engine called 'Frontlines: Fuel of War'.

Desert Conflict (The DC mod for BF2) is going to recreate a lot of what was in Desert Combat aswell as add a lot of their own new things.
