Hello. I recently received a £5 promo code from Coke Zone, redeemable at the EA store. Whenever I enter the promo code I get "Invalid promo code". The code is: xxxxxxxx. It is not invalid, nor has it been used.

I would like to redeem my voucher, I trust this matter can be resolved.

Regarding the TOS, I am trying to get a discount from the pre-order of Battlefield 1943, friends and members of an Internet forum have recently successfully applied a Coke Zone £5 voucher to this game.

As I cannot see any restrictions in the TOS that would cause such an error, and seeing as friends have used a voucher from the same source on the same game I assume I have a faulty code?

Just to be sure, I did try to redeem the code on other random games of varying value, each gave me the "Invalid promo code" error.

I am entering the code exactly as it is displayed in the email.

My move, what do I do now?
 
Was playing the 360 version last night, while fun they really seem to have castrated some of the gamplay mechanics. Mainly in the sense that the carriers are completly static and there are no destroyers or subs etc.

Can't help but feel that really nerfs the gameplay on some maps, shelling the islands with destroyers was lots of fun as were the subs on a few of the maps. Theres some new gimmcks in the game with lots of buildings being destroyable but some really weird oversights like pistols being incredibly accurate over long distances (think the pistol in the original halo which doubled as a sniper rifle). If you spot an enemy a marker appears over them which you can see over a long range, no real hiding in this game at all...

I know its a budget game and theyre supposodly making the pc version play more like a pc game, but i don't see much point in the game if tanks planes and jeeps are the only vehicles in the game. It will essentially be like playing a castrated "prettier" version of 1942.

On the plus side it doesn't seem to have a prone option, whicjh should alleviate the crap that plagued bf2 from launch.
 
no problem , there's no rush to get it released ... its also more encouraging to see the PC version getting special attention... result :)
 
Dice have said that the reason this game hasn't been released on PC is because the Pc requires so much more programming, i.e joysticks voip, more players etc etc. It will be with us before christmas tho! Look @ heroes we thought that wouldn't be with us for a while longer, thats gone live.... so i wouldn't be supprised if this is with us before xmas!

What a game this is tho for the ps3, cant get off it. I#m PC to the end but wow, finally a game i enjoy on a console.

the rank system isn't great, but its still much better than bad company. The guns, maps and content is amazing. Just hope they dont **** up bad company or eventually bf3!

Yeah demo is there for DL, it will give you 30mins of play time then lock you out.... you will actually being playing the full game when you download the demo, the £9.99 activates a code which will allow you to continue playing.... Its awsum tho fair do's! My misses i well happy i'm playing it as i no longer spend all hours on the pc.... now i spend all hours in bed playing on it haha!
 
Excellent that will be this evening's pet project. I take it the unlock is a fairly speedy process online if I end up enjoying it and a one off payment of £9.99?
