Battlefield 2(142) Dramas

Hi Guys

Quick one for you, just installed BF2 and 2142 on my new machine, and patched them up, when i go into my video settings on both games, the only resolution choice it will let me have is 800x600 @ 60hz,

My graphics card drivers are up to date, and both games are patched up to the latest

I am using a nVidia 9800 GX2 if thats any help, and its running through a HDMI cable to a 32" Toshiba LCD TV if thats makes a difference

any ideas chaps (and chapettes)?

hmm it seems a possibility but im running 1360x768 in crysis and 1920x1080 in CS:S and all the other source powered games

[EDIT] the TV is a full HD 1080p jobby and has'nt had a drama in any other games

update: there is a weird red flickering in the title scenes but stops once in game, still only 800x600 looks crap
