I downloaded the v1.41 Battlefield 2 dedicated server last night to create a LAN server.
However, the server is v1.1.2963-795.0 & the latest game is v1.1.2965-797.0 so when I try connect it fails saying that my game version is newer than the server.
Is there any way to update the server without having to download the whole game again? I assumed downloading the v1.41 server would work with the v1.41 game, but there's some kind of 'other' version number.
Any ideas?
[Edit]
I've got this patch on the game: http://files.filefront.com/Battlefield+2+v141+Patch/;6194285;/fileinfo.html and I'm running this server: http://files.filefront.com/Battlefield+2+Dedicated+Windows+Server+Build+141/;6193795;/fileinfo.html. Both 1.41
[Edit]
Bah, I remember now. I downloaded the server from Gameshell & it turns out it's 1.4 instead of 1.41. Is there any easy way to upgrade from 1.4-1.41 without downloading a whole 303MB file? 512k internet for the lose.
Thanks,
Craig.
