Battlefield 2 Mods Cant wait

none of these mods ever get realised within the lifespan of the game for me.

i got bored of BF2 about 4 months after release. Was excited about loads of mods but no good ones have come out yet. There are just updates, all the time, never any releases

I take it you've never heard of Desert Conflict b4 then?

It was a mod for BF1942 and it was played just as much as the original game, if not more. I never played it myself, but i beleive it became so successful in the end that EA gave it sum kind of endorsment.

Yeah i heard but i thought it was called Desert Combat.
 
I have lost the buzz for BF2 :( i hope it comes back soon.
After playing over 800 hours it's no surprise that it has become a bit repetitive for me. I just find myself doing the same thing on the same maps. I was hoping the Euro pack would give the game more longevity for me but i think the euro maps are pants. Same with the SF pack it's good but not as good as vanilla. I just wanted more maps released for Vanilla in the same style as the originals. They release maps that change the original flavour of vanilla BF2.
Hopefully something will come along to give me my BF2 buzz back. I hope so as i love the game.
 
looks ace but agreed BF2 was good back in the day but now its just prone wars each time u see the bad guy....

need a proper decent online shooter now, need crysis like today ;)

I dont think we seen any good mods for BF2 yet? proberly wont either cos a decent game will arrive in no time and replace it easily....

There's a Star Wars one that looks good, but it's yet another "work in progress" :(

I'm waiting for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars; should kick-ass and it wont have any input from DiCE or EA :D

Yep thats the only game im pinning my hopes up looks awesome including the medic, sorta taking BF2 and adding in that Quake/Doom part into it....

What better combo :) Heard its due spring/summer but will see cos crysis is due fall 06.

must admit,bf2 is boring for me aswell. im just sitting waiting for the mods to appear for this,in the meantime playing red orchestra.fantastic game.
i really hope forgotten hope is as good on the bf2 engine as it was on the old 42 engine.it will be awesome if all goes to plan :)
 
I gave up with Battlefield 2 a while ago but yesterday I thought I'd give it another day, so reinstalled it and patched it to the latest release, fire the game up, join a server and at 62% on the loading screen it just crahses straight back to the desktop, try it again and same thing, so thought **** trying to fix it and just uninstalled it again :( shame really as I used to enjoy playing it but now it just isn't worth getting wound up over.
