battlefield 2 multiplayer ?

hey guys,

i'm looking to get into playing battlefield 2, mainly online.

When i went to online i only found 3 servers, which is obviously very odd.

What do i need to play online and what is the latest patch please ?

i've downloaded the patch but it isn't loading

i don't have the steam version,

its a version i brought from play.com

battlefield collection

battlefield 2
battlefield 2 special forces
battlefield 2 booster packs compelation

i installed on my laptop then transfered the whole folder over to my pc becuase my DVD drive is borked on here

If i buy it from steam the complete collection, it doesn't include Bad company right ?

just need to start playing, and getting used to it.
