Battlefield 2 problem, can anyone help me?

i just installed battlefield 2 and for some reason each time i join a game i get kicked out as soon as i connect
last time i played the game was in 2006 so i cant remember if i had this problem before or not :confused:

im getting a message about punkbuster not receiving information
could this be a windows 7 problem?

You need to do a manual update of punkbuster. Goto the site and download the exe.

Do as above and also double to check to make sure both punkbuster A and B are unblocked in any firewalls you may have

i dont actually think i installed it when i was setting up the game as i didnt bother with gamespy either, i downloaded a updater from the website and it seems to have updated something but im still having the problem

where can i find punkbuster A and B?

I think all you need to do is add PnkBstrB.exe to exceptions, mine was located here:

Code:

Directory :: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb
File Name :: PnkBstrB.exe

i dont seem to have any exe files in there so ill try a reinstall of the game and make sure i install punk buster

Yeah when I occasionally load BF2 up and stick everything to full I still find myself smiling at how nice it actually looks. Shame the game play is awful now though haha
