I am trying to play BF2 1.41 with the PR 0.6 mod on Windows Vista on a Dell M1710 laptop with a Nvidia 7900 GTX running The forceware 158.36 drivers and the game is unstable and keeps on crashing. Some maps like Al Basrah are also really slow (i.e 1-2 FPS).

What drivers are you guy using for on vista to play this game?

Thanks for the help...

PR is the only game i play on my comp but i dont use Vista tho! Head over to www.realitymod.com for some answers, should be able to help.

When you getting it up and running, lets have a game in a squad together. Always fun meeting new players! ;)

Hmm, i had the same issues, the main one i had was 15fps constant on a 8800GTX, i just scrapped it and moved on, but on desert conflict i had the same problem, i turned lighting down to medium from high and it worked better, might be one thing to try.
If you search the PR forums, you can do something to the game .exe in visual basics and some how get it to work, i just recently deleted the link telling you what to do, but i got it all from the PR forums, search their forums for vista incomparability crashes etc.

Yeah, i am going back to XP 32 bit now, vista x64 is just too fussy with some things. Fear runs fine maxed but if i run the test a second time i get 8fps constant, online went from 60 to 15 fps, i couldn't install something to do with the sound card, bandwidth montior among a few other things, i seem to be getting crap FPS compared to the benchmarks i see.
Back to XP i go, with this as a dual boot on the side when its more sorted, its nice and all but i would rather it all work nicely.
