I really enjoy this game, however!...

im totally new to it and ive only made the first promotion, i keep swapping between classes instead of mastering one, which is probably a problem, although im pretty miffed with my sniper choice.

Does your aim get better as you get promoted?

Ive had enemies lying down right infront of me.. not even moving (enemy sniper facing other way)... i fired at him, crosshair right on him... 3 times i fired, then he turned around and sniped me anyway.

How the hell lol

Your aim gets better with experience, You should have just dropped to prone & stabbed the camping gay **** then Teabagged him :D

What probably happened is you shot him in his armour/body & although he was wounded he still had time to head shot you. Knife & nades are the only instant kills in BF2 get used to it & work with it.

One thing worth mentioning though is you don't have your ingame settings to high do you ?
System performance & FPS sweet spots mean a lot when it's one on one.

I would say that this was only an example of the number of times this happens.

I dunno what rifle, i guess its the standard rifle you get when you select sniper on whichever side you are on.

I always lie prone, my pings are great.. but i just cant seem to hit **** ! :(

Im pretty **** with other weapons to, to be honest lol.

So headshots are the key, i never realised how substantial body armor was in this game.

when people are lying prone are the hitboxes accurate enough to hit them in the head too. I guess ive just been aiming at the biggest target :)

The MEC rifle is a bit poor, dont know if that will take someone out with one headshot. It is however semi-auto, so you can rattle several shots off.

personally my fave rifle is the M95

Aiming in bf2 can be a bit inconsistent, only solution is practise unfortunately, one aiming method you'll use will be fine in one situation but won't work in another. One tip is when you're unloading on someone but not hitting stop firing quickly and then steady and readjust your aim then start firing again. There's a bit of a knack to it tbh.

A headshot with the rifles is too.

This is debatable, the only one shot kills you are actually getting are when you hit a Dude that has damaged himself dropping of a ledge or summit. Even the last Sniper rifle only gives 95% damage.

When you can unlock the G36E for Medic and triple burst it. I think you may have to play Special Forces in order to unlock this gun though.
