Battlefield 2 question

Hey all,

Anybody happen to know if 'dolphin diving' is still rife in BF2 online ?

This used to annoy the hell out of me a year or so ago, so stopped playing at the time.

Been enjoying BF:BC on the 360, which has given me a taste for BF2 again + I miss using a mouse, so was hoping diving / prone has been patched out by now, or at least there's some mods that exclude / slow it down it at least :confused:

It's less of a problem now because of the prone deviation (accuracy take a huge hit for 3 seconds when going prone), which works to a certain degree.

Obviously you'll still see some prone spamming, but generally it's done for legitimate reasons such as getting better cover and increasing accuracy.

To be honest the hitbox detection of bf2 is pretty crappy in comparison to most fps nowadays so maybe hard to get back into it. I know I stopped playing it because of it. 2142 is a bit better though.

They released patch 1.6 afew weeks ago, had some major changes in that and also giving you all DLC for Free.

BF2 is better than it used to be(if that is possible, seen as it is the best game ever made!)

yes bf2 is very good game considering it was released in 2005! I always play BF2 and its my no.1 game. I only play infantry only though. vehicles are for pussys.

LOl if i want Inf only i play cod4 otherwise i play BF2

Sometimes INF only is fun but i much prefer a game without all the nade spamming

Check out bf1942 as well still loads of fun to be had from this game.

The only time I used to really enjoy bf2 was as a gunner in a chopper, had some great pilots to jump in with. The size of bf2 drove me crazy, spawn miles away, spend 10 minutes getting to the action, die, repeat.

Cheers for the replies guys. Need to find a cheap copy of BF2 then if the diving's been toned down finally. Also noticed 2142 is £5 online atm, which might be worth a look as well.

Both should keep me going until BC2 is released next march.
