Another BF2 question from me!

I recently reached 156 points, so I should be going up to the next rank - 'Private First Class'.

I checked on the stat websites and my "rank progress" bar is full + 2% into the next rank... but my actual rank still says Private.

So basically my stats have been updated (they're on 156 at the moment) but my rank is still showing as Private.

Any ideas why please?

When you next go onto BF2 it will rank you up

Also, another quick question: how do I download the recorded battles from the community page? It keeps saying something about error parsing URL.

Yes, when you next go into game and get a point.

I don't know about your second question, I have never tried nor know which website you are referring to!

As in the community button in game, if the server had the recorder going then you can download the video I think... never works for me though

I'll go and kill someone now, hopefully it ranks me up

just dont do it in real life, it isnt GTA with stars in your top right hehe

Just got promoted

So each time I get to the next rank I have to logout, log back in and get another point to get to the next rank?

Yeah more or less, when you reach x points, it won't rank you up.

You have to go off BF2 and wait, I don't know, about 30 minutes until your stats are updated, then you go onto BF2 and get ranked up.

Same with getting different levels of weapon class.
If your on 14 hours 59 minutes for sniper say, and you need 15 hours to get veteran sniper.
You can't go onto a server, be sniper for 1 minute then get 15 kills and get veteran sniper, you need to wait till your stats are updated after you have logged off, then you go on, your stats say 15 hours played, then you can get 15 kills

This basically is the same for everything else too!

That ain't true. 99% of the time it will rank you up in game. Unfortunately once in a while it is a little slow at doing it. The part about the sniper award is though (see below).

Same with awards. If you meet the criteria in game, it will give you it whilst you are in game. The only time this changes is with an award where one of the criteria is cumilative. A good example os the expert knife badge where the requirements state you need 100 knife kills in your career and the basic and veteran knife badges. If you're in a game and you hit the 100 mark, or even pass it and have the other two badges, it will not award it until your next round.
