Battlefield 2?

Hi all
I recently found my battlefield 2 and special forces expansion pack after many years and am going to install them but i have a few questions. After checking on the net i see there are 1.41 and a 1.50 patch which is around 2gb in size and adds lots of maps and also add on stuff that i think was only previously available as add-on packs.

Do i still need to install the special forces add-on? and do i need any other patches apart from 1.41 and 1.50?

Special Forces is still seperate iirc ..... No other patches needed either - You only need to install 1.41 first, then 1.5.

1 Install BF2

2 Install Patch 1.41

3 Install Special Forces

4 Install Patch 1.41

5 Install Patch 1.50

Surely you dont need to patch it before installing the expansion?

1) Install BF2
2) Install Special Forces
3) Install Patch 1.41 (launch the game after doing this because there was always problems with the gaming being a ****, repeat option 3 if you get errors)
4) Install Patch 1.50
5) Update punkbuster if you don't want getting kicked from the servers with a fresh install

euro force and armored fury are free.

special forces aint free.
