Battlefield 2142 and Vista x64= grrrrrrr

Everytime i get onto a server my game just completely locks up and i have to 'end task'. Im pretty sure Vista x64 is causing this, is there a beta patch out that fixes this problem?

Just done a fresh install and updated to v1.40, only problem is it only comes up with 30 servers, most being 'official highway tampa server'. Apart from that running nice and smooth

EDIT: Now i keep getting kicked by punkbuster, how do i stop this?

Ok ive fixed the Punkbuster problem only for a new problem to arise. Im getting major lag and its not fps lag cos im at around 40-50fps with everything on full. Could it be something to do with Vista x64 and the new beta patch?

dont think its the firewall, also i keep getting 'Memory error' :confused:

Just been browsing the BF 2142 forums and it seems that all the crashing/locking up in game is down to the 1.40 beta patch. I strongly recommend that everyone stick with 1.25 as 1.40 is terrible to play on.
