Battlefield 2142 - Anyone know how to get this working please?

I bought my son BF 2142 Deluxe, just installed it but it won't even run.

Comes up with a message saying:

'A required security module cannot be activated. The program cannot be executed (7000)'.

Just wondered if anyone else had had this & how do I fix it.

I've got no emulation software like Daemon tools running. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling no joy.

are you using vista?

its not something daft like running as administrator is it?

also try and run it in WinXP mode (right click bf2142 icon > properties > compatibility)

i know it sounds stupid but i couldnt get Bioshock to work properly until i did this.

yeah, sounds like an administrator account is needed to play.

could the security be punkbuster related, I wouldn't have thought so but might be worth a try.

Sorry for slow reply.

Not PC is running good old XP Pro & logged in with an account which has admin rights.

EA support have been useless so far, want me to send them some directx info.

I was thinking that it was realted to the SecuROM thing?

Make sur epunkbuster is installed. They have a website with downloadable installer.
